The New York Giants fired head coach Ben McAdoo and general manager Jerry Reese Monday, as the Giants continue to be mired in a 2-10 season.
McAdoo, a graduate of Homer-Center High School, was in his second season as head coach of the Giants. He posted an 11-5 record in his first season. McAdoo took over for Tom Coughlin after the 2015 season.
The Giants season has been marked with controversy and turmoil, including the benching of Eli Manning and suspension of veteran cornerbacks Janoris Jenkins and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. The Giants, who some picked to make it to the Super Bowl, lost their first five games and were officially eliminated from playoff contention before December.
