If you have been waiting to get your live Christmas tree, today may be a good day to pick one up, as you’ll help a military family celebrate with their own tree.
Today is Trees for Troops day at Fleming’s Christmas Tree Farm. Today from 9-5 at Fleming’s Christmas Tree Farms, they will sell Christmas Trees at a special rate, and those trees will be shipped to Fort Knox in Kentucky to brighten the lives of military families.
The program first started in 2005, as an initiative of the National Christmas Tree Growers Association, and Fleming’s have been a part of it since day one. During the day, there will be live music, several photo opportunities, face painting, horse-drawn wagon rides, and two special guests: a soldier from our armed forces and Santa Claus. There will also be refreshments on offer and gifts for sale.
