Indiana Borough Police investigated a theft at the Co-Op Store on Friday afternoon. Police say the suspect took a black Columbia Backpack from the store without paying for it around 12:58 in the afternoon. Police describe the suspect as a black man, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and black sweat pants. Anyone with information on the theft should call Indiana Borough Police at 724-349-2121.

State Police investigated a case of theft and fraud and are still looking for a suspect. In this case, someone used the information of an unidentified, 56-year-old man from Heilwood in White Township to make a fake PayPal account. The man received a bill from PayPal, asking him to pay $2,116. The suspects are not known at this point, but if you have any information, call State Police at 724-357-1960.
An Indiana woman now faces felony theft charges. State Police in Indiana say that they were called out to the White Township Wal-Mart on November 18th at 12:54 PM when Heather Shank was caught stealing nearly $40 worth of merchandise. She was arrested and placed in Indiana County Jail. She faces a felony charge of theft as this is her third offense.
Troopers have charged a New Florence Man with criminal mischief after an incident in West Wheatfield Township. State police say they were called out on Thursday to a home on Gamble Road in the New Florence area. The suspect, 31-year-old Neal Edward Boring had asked an unidentified 72-year-old New Florence man for some money to purchase drugs, but Boring was denied. Police say Boring would later punch out the front window of the 72-year-old’s pickup truck and later broke the victim’s front door jamb.

State Police in Kittanning are looking for the driver in connection with a DUI crash Friday night. Police say that their suspect, an un-named 28-year-old Mayport man was driving on Dayton road when he got involved in a crash. Few details are available on the crash itself, but police say that the Mayport man may have been under the influence of drugs as contraband was found on his person and in the vehicle. Add in the other circumstances of this crash, and police say they are now treating the case as a DUI case. The man was not identified, as he was flown from the scene to a hospital for treatment. Charges will be filed pending the issuance of search warrants and the results of lab tests.
