The Pittsburgh Penguins got Evgeni Malkin back for last night’s game against the Buffalo Sabres, but it was goaltender Tristian Jarry that was the star of the game, as he earned his first shutout of the season with a 4-0 victory last night.
Jarry stopped 34 shots en route to the shutout win. The Pens scored three goals in the first period, and they were supplied by Tom Kuhnackl, Sidney Crosby and Jake Guentzel. Patric Hornqvist scored in the 2nd to give the Pens a bit of extra insurance.
The Pens and Sabres play at PPG Paints arena tonight for the second half of the home-and-home series, and you can hear it on U-92.5 FM starting at 6:00 with the pre-game show.
