The Indiana Mall will host their first-ever Chinese Culture Show on Saturday.
The show will promote Chinese art and culture for everyone as part of a celebration of the Holidays. Dr. Shenggo Han, who is coordinating the festival, said he wanted to do this because he’s seen similar work in the Pittsburgh region and he wanted to bring it to his hometown. He has received a lot of help in putting the events together on both the local and regional levels, as he has a lot of volunteers from Indiana, his hometown, and also from Pittsburgh-based Chinese heritage groups.
Han is hopeful that the show is a success in this first year so that they can continue to do the show in years to come.
Entertainment during the show includes music, a demonstration of Chinese Kong-Fu, and dancing of various styles, including Lion and Dragon dancing. The show gets underway at 10:00 AM at the Indiana Mall on Saturday.
