State Police in Indiana announce their statistics for the Thanksgiving Holiday driving period.
The time frame ran from November 22nd through the 26th. Extra patrols were out to focus on distracted driving and DUI. Troopers at the Indiana barracks arrested fifteen individuals for suspicion of DUI during the time frame. Twelve of the fifteen arrests were the result of a traffic stop. Two were the result of separate crash investigations, and one was from a call that State Police assisted EMT’s with an unresponsive person in a vehicle.
There’s no word yet on state-wide statistics or any similar stats from local police forces for their work during the Thanksgiving travel period.
