Another local musican is gearing up to be a part of the upcoming Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
IUP’s Community Music School has announced that Kristina Andrei of Homer City, a junior at Homer-Center and a student at the Community Music School, will march as a member of the Macy’s Great American Marching Band, and play the mellophone alongside nearly 300 other students representing every state in the country. This is the second time in recent history that a local student will march in the Macy’s parade, as Quentin Davis marched in the parade in 2015.
Kristina is the daughter of Jim and Paula Andrei and plays the mellophone in Marching Band, French horn in concert band and bass drum with Homer-Center’s indoor percussion group.
