At last night’s meeting, the White Township Supervisors discussed a problem with Risinger Road.
The problem was brought to their attention by Shirley Risinger, who said that in recent years, a resident near the Eastern terminus of the road installed video cameras facing the road to track those who use Risinger road, and has allegedly used that information to harass, block and confront those who have to turn around at the dead-end. Risinger said this included Natcher Drilling of Ebensburg, who had serviced a well on her property earlier this month. The neighbor had forced them to park on Route 954, which according to Risinger is a dangerous proposition.
The supervisors moved to start the preliminary phases to acquire property to construct a turn-around area.
In other business, the Supervisors gave their preliminary approval for the 2018 budget, which will contain no tax increases. That budget will be on display at the borough offices and will be voted on at their meeting on December 20th.
