Three people were injured in a crash on Route 422 in Plumcreek Township, Armstrong County Tuesday morning.
State Police say 26-year-old Chelsea Schultheis of Rural Valley and 54-year-old Andrew Orlosky of Shelocta were going East on Route 422 around 6:47 in the morning when Orlosky stopped to turn left onto Dutchmans Run Road, but Schultheis did not notice that Orlosky stopped and rear-ended him. After impact, Orlosky’s car went into the west bound lane and ran nearly head on into an SUV driven by 43-year-old David Campbell, and Campbell’s vehicle crashed into a truck belonging to 39-year-old Jeremy Lockard that was parked along Dutch Run Road. Campbell’s vehicle rolled during the crash and ended up on its side.
Campbell was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center for treatment of unknown injuries, while Orlosky was flown from the scene to UPMC Presbyterian. Schultheis had minor injuries but refused treatment. All the vehicles took on moderate to severe damage and had to be towed.
