A busy weekend of IUP Basketball kicked off last night with the IUP Men winning their first game of the IRMC/Hilton Garden Inn Classic.
At the KCAC, the IUP men beat Urbana 93-60 last night. Blake Danielak lead the Crimson Hawks with 20 points, and was 8-12 on field goals, including being 4-6 from beyond the 3-point arc. Ethan Snapp lead Urbana with 13 points.
In the early game last night, Virginia State beat Pitt-Johnstown 79-75. The tourney continues tonight as IUP takes on Virginia State. That will be the late game of the double-header starting around 7:30, and we’ll have the game for you on U-92.5 FM and the U-92.5 Sports Channel starting around 7:00. The early game of the double-header will feature Pitt-Johnstown taking on Urbana starting at 5:15.
On the Women’s side, they start the season today with the S&T Bank PSAC-MEC Conference Challenge. The ladies take over Memorial Field House today with a double-header starting at 1:00 with Mansfield taking on West Virginia State. The second game will feature IUP against West Virginia Weslyean.
