CRIME
An Ernest man has been charged with hindering apprehension in a case involving his son. State police say 59-year-old John Charles Wise Sr. assisted his son in eluding authorities on October 14th after 41-year-old John Wise Jr.’s bond had been revoked in a burglary case.
ACCIDENTS
State police report two accidents, one of which may have resulted in injuries to one of the drivers. That accident happened early Friday morning on Route 22 in Burrell Township when 62-year-old Wilbert Young Jr. of Beaumont, Texas, was rear-ended by 30-year-old Roger Eddy of Braddock. Eddy hit a utility trailer that Young was hauling, dislodging it and pushing it into the back end of Young’s pickup truck. Eddy was not injured, but police say Young may have been, although he did not require medical treatment.
The other crash was on October 28th in Clymer Borough. Police say an SUV driven by 74-year-old Joseph DeSalvo of Nicktown hit a PennDOT sign along Franklin Street.
