In Indiana County Court today, President Judge William Martin will preside over a motions hearing for a Marion Center man who police say admitted that he deals drugs.
24-year-old Flint Nemo Kinter of Marion Center was pulled over for having illegally tinted windows on his vehicle on March 16th at the intersection of Route 119 and Chambersville Road. Police say he gave them permission to search his vehicle and they found a large amount of drugs, including powdered cocaine, THC wax, marijuana, MDMA (which is a synthetic hallucinogenic drug), two tabs of paper LSD, and almost $1,900 cash. Kinter admitted that he buys drugs in Pittsburgh and distributes them in Indiana County, and that he intended to sell that particular batch of drugs during the IUPattys event.
Last month, Judge Martin ruled that additional discovery was needed before he could hold the motions hearing, but he did reject a defense motion to examine the records of the arresting officer, provided that state trooper be available for cross examination at trial.
The judge last week revoked Kinter’s $25,000 bond. Today’s hearing will focus specifically on Kinter’s motion to suppress evidence.
Also in Indiana County Court today, Judge Martin will sentence 28-year-old Damon Shanner for a guilty plea to recklessly endangering another person. Additional charges of possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of children will not be prosecuted.
