Several sentencings are set for today in Indiana County’s Court of Common Pleas.
On the docket for today is a sentencing hearing for three cases involving Takeal Day Clemons. He was accused of breaking into five Indiana Borough apartments over IUP’s Easter Break last April and taking items from IUP students. He was facing five counts each of burglary, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, but in plea court, he pleaded guilty to one count of each charge. He also pleaded guilty to a charge of burglary from March of this year, and charges of theft and receiving stolen property were not prosecuted. He also pleaded guilty earlier this year to unauthorized access from a crime in February. In that case, a charge of theft was dropped.
Another person who will be sentenced today is Jude Alan Yackuboskey of Indiana. He will be sentenced in two different cases. In one case, he pleaded guilty to one count each of retail theft and receiving stolen property. He originally faced two counts on each crime in relation to a case that dates back to January 30th of this year. In a second case that dated back to February 18th, Yackuboskey pleaded guilty to attempted criminal trespass-breaking into a structure and possession of an instrument of crime. A second count of possession of an instrument of crime, along with charges attempted burglary, loitering and prowling at night, and criminal mischief were not prosecuted in the case.
Both sentencings are set for 1:15 this afternoon in Indiana County Court.
