Raymond E. “Mutt” Anderson, age 87, of Indiana, died Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.
He was born in 1930 in Indiana to Thomas H. and Jennie (Nicholas) Anderson.
He owned and operated a dairy farm.
Mr. Anderson was a Charter member of the Crete United Presbyterian Church. As the oldest member, he served as an Elder and was a member of the choir. He was a member of the PA Farm Bureau.
Mutt had an easygoing personality and a GREAT sense of humor. He also overcame numerous obstacles in his life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Evelyn J. (Boddorf) Anderson. His family includes two daughters, Terry Anderson, of Colorado Springs, CO, Debbie Hisiro and husband Carl of Harrisburg, two sons, Brad Anderson and wife Anna of Mt. Joy and Mike Anderson and wife Vonnie of Indiana; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He also had numerous nephews and nieces, and great-nephews and nieces; one brother, Paul Anderson of State College. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Darl Anderson and Bob Anderson, and 1 sister, Ella Margaret Somerville.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 5, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and on Monday, from 10-11 a.m. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home in Indiana, where funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Katie Ward Stear officiating.
Interment will be made at the Greenwood Cemetery.
