PSP-INDIANA
State Police are investigating a case of drug paraphernalia and weapon possession at the Indiana Senior High School. Police say on October 30th, a male student at Indiana Senior High School was found in possession of a marijuana grinder and a stun gun while on school property. A juvenile allegation was filed on November 1st at the Indiana County probation department. The person’s name will not be released as they are a juvenile.
PSP-GREENSBURG
Two harassment incidents were reported at the Adelphoi Marker House in Derry Township. State Police say both incidents happened on October 30th, with the first happening at 8:00 PM, when 27-year-old Michael Lavelle Ribblet of Greensburg was struck in the face by a 15-year-old girl from Derry. About an hour later, 23-year-old Jaquelyn Lynn Beltz of Latrobe was also struck in the face by a 15-year-old girl from Derry. As the assailant was not identified by name due to the fact that they are under the age of 18, it’s not known for sure if these attacks were made by the same person.
One person was injured in a crash in Cowanshannock Township. This was reported on October 30th around 4:30 PM on Route 88 near the intersection with White Oak Road. An SUV driven by William Berry Jr. of Kittanning was going east on 88 and rear-ended another SUV driven by Christopher Wasnak of Kittanning, who had stopped to make a left turn onto White Oak Road. Wasnak’s SUV spun as a result of the impact, while Berry’s vehicle went about 10 more yards from the point of impact and stopped. A passenger in Wasnak’s vehicle, Denise Getty, suffered injuries of unknown severity and was taken to Armstrong County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
