WHITE TOWNSHIP
State police report two investigations of identity theft involving Indiana County residents.
A 27-year-old Homer City woman reported that someone had used a replicated debit card to charge about 25 dollars to her First Summit Bank account on October 16th.
And a White Township man reports unauthorized charges to his bank account at various Walmart stores across the United States between October 11th and 23rd. Police do not indicate the amount of money involved in those thefts.
EAST MAHONING TOWNSHIP
A Marion Center area man was taken into custody as a fugitive from justice on Tuesday at a home along Getty Road in East Mahoning Township. State police say Jordan Tyler Lavan is wanted by the Clinton County, Kentucky Commonwealth Attorney. They do not say what charges he faces there.
INDIANA BOROUGH
A man and woman from Pittsburgh are charged with false ID to law enforcement after they gave Indiana Borough police officers phony names on Tuesday night. Police say 35-year-old Raymond Payne and 25-year-old Tamara Newland did it because they both have arrest warrants against them. Payne’s warrant does not show up in online records, but Newland has an outstanding burglary case listed from Allegheny County.
