Christie Lynn Muir (Divins), 47 of Aylett, VA, the daughter of Perry J. and Judith A. (Sutton) Muir, passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 24, 2017.
She was born at the Pittsburgh Hospital on November 12, 1969 and graduated from Indiana High School in 1987. Christie attended IUP and graduated from National Louis University in Chicago, IL, where she also worked for several years and she currently was employed in the Human Resources Department of InterBake Co. in Richmond, VA.
She loved music, gardening, cooking and baking for her family. Christie is survived by her husband, Barry J. Divins of Aylett, VA; her brothers: Perry J. Muir Jr and Nicolle Ricupero, of Indiana; and David W. Muir and wife Tamara K. Muir of Cumming, GA; seven nieces and nephews: Ethan Muir of Indiana; Jordan, Parker Reagan and David Muir of Cumming, GA; Laken and Garrett Goodrich of Indiana, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of friends from everywhere she lived or worked.
Everyone who knew Christie knows she had a smile that lit up a room. She shared a mutual love with her family and friends. Christie is missed terribly by so many people with heavy hearts. She also had three dogs that were her “furry children,” that she loved dearly.
Christie was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Clair and Fannie M. Muir and Otis Edward of Blairsville, and maternal grandparents Leroy D. and Frances A. Sutton of Seward.
Services and interment will be private. A celebration of life is being planned for the near future.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Christie’s name to the SPCA or any deserving animal shelter.
