In Indiana County Court today, a number of defendants will be sentenced for a variety of charges, almost all of them for driving under the influence, and several connected to drug crimes.
Among those who have already pleaded guilty is 24-year-old Tony Charles Smith of Indiana, who pleaded guilty in August to possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in June of last year. He also will plead and be sentenced in a separate DUI case.
Others who have already pleaded guilty to DUI include 32-year-old Christopher McKendrick of Saltsburg; and 22-year-old Abdullah Alghayahd of Morgantown, West Virginia, for two cases.
Scheduled to plead and be sentenced today are Shane Mulraney of Northern Cambria, Troy Rivera of Philadelphia, Devin Karalfa-Jordan of Johnstown, Michael Bernd of Cherry Tree, Madison Guthrie of Pittsburgh, Jason Gaston of Clymer, Timothy Steele of Altoona, Daniel Meadows of Burnside, and Jallil Dill of Harrisburg, who in previous court cases has been listed as being from Indiana. Two DUI defendants from Johnstown, Robert Triplin III and Delijah Sitton, also face drug charges, including possession with intent to deliver.
