Preliminary hearings will be held today in several cases in Indiana County Court, and while a majority of them will deal with charges related to drinking and driving or drug possession, two cases will deal with other charges.
One case scheduled for 9:45 this morning in front of District Judge George Thachick is for Andrew Robert Toy of Creekside, who is facing charges of unlawful dissemination of an intimate image and disorderly conduct in connection with an incident on March 5th of this year.
Another person that will have his preliminary hearing today is Michael Shawn Bernd of Glen Campbell, who is facing a single felony count of strangulation, two misdemeanor counts of terroristic threats, misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment. The charges date back to September 14th of this year. Bernd was also wanted by police for a PFA violation where he got in contact with a 38-year-old woman who filed the protection from abuse order against him. That hearing will be before Judge Thachick at 11:30 this morning.
