Several different hearings are scheduled for today in Indiana County Court.
This includes the sentencing of of 31-year-old Timmy Betts Jr. of Robinson, who pleaded “No Contest” to a charge of Simple Assault, while charges of rape-forcible compulsion, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse-forcible compulsion, aggravated indecent assault without consent, and indecent assault without consent were not prosecuted. The charges were filed in connection with an incident in April of 2016, where a woman reported to police that Betts forced her to have relations with him and she recorded the audio of that incident on her cell phone. She called 911 after Betts fell asleep and went to IRMC for treatment several hours later.
A sentencing hearing for Anthony Alan Paratto of Homer City has been delayed one week. He was charged with receiving stolen property and illegally using an access device to obtain properties or services. That was connected to an incident in March of 2016.
Plea Court sessions are also set for David Lee Walker, who faces charges of manifacture delivery or possession with intent to deliver, criminal use of communications facility, and simple possession for an incident in May of 2015.
And jury selection starts today for Annique Brewer of Harrisburg, who is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance and of drug Paraphernalia, possession with intent to deliver, and two counts of contraband for an incident in January of this year.
