The Indiana School Board will meet tonight and on the agenda will be the approval of some construction bills that were not approved for payment at their meeting earlier this month.
Those construction bills are in connection with the proposed Ben Franklin Elementary project that was stopped earlier this year. At the last meeting, the board was presented with $44,998 in bills that represent the final payment to architects McKissick Associates. Board Member Julia Trimarchi-Cuccaro said she was not comfortable with making the payment until the invoices were studied. The total for the rejected project is a little over $1.4 million.
The board will also have the first reading of 33 different policies, ranging from screening and evaluations of students with disabilities, hazing, audio and video recording on school buses and other topics. The board will also discuss class sizes at the elementary schools.
The Marion Center School Board is also scheduled to meet tonight. Their agenda is not published in advance.
