An IUP Professor is set to become an American citizen as part of ceremonies today on the IUP Campus.
This past week has been International Education Week at IUP, and the final event of the week is a naturalization ceremony, where people who immigrated to the United States become citizens. Among those taking the oath today is Dr. Shundong Bi, an IUP Biology Professor. The ceremonies start at 11:00 at the KCAC’s Toretti Auditorium. Dr. Bi will be the keynote speaker for the event, which will be open to the public.
This year marks the 5th year for the naturalization ceremony. About 50 people are expected to be a part of the ceremony.
