IUP’s alumni board has gained two new members, including a local resident.
The two named to the IUP Alumni Association Board of Directors are Chrystina Black Steffy, formerly of Sandy Lake and now a resident of Alexandria, Virginia, and Heather Reed of Indiana.

Reed, who earned a Masters Degree in Public Affairs with a specialization in Health Services at IUP in 2013, is the Executive Director of the Indiana Healthcare Foundation and the founder of the Indiana County Young Professionals organization, and served as a president of that organization. She also serves on several other boards, including the Board of Directors for the YMCA, The United Way, and is also a member of VNA’s Hospice Advisory Board.

Steffy is a 2003 economics grad from IUP, and currently serves as an Energy Industry Analyst in the Office of Administrative Litigation at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in Washington, DC. She was also the 2007 recipient of the IUP Young Alumni Achievement Award.
