For the second consecutive week, IUP is ranked third in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II Coaches’ Poll. Northwest Missouri State (7-0) is still #1, followed by 6-0 Shepherd. Minnesota State (7-0) remains at No. 4, while Midwestern State (5-0) moved into the top five. Slippery Rock fell eight spots this week to #17 after losing to IUP on Saturday.
More good news for the Crimson Hawks: quarterback Lenny Williams is the PSAC Western Division co-Offensive Athlete of the Week and kicker Dillon Sarka earned Special Teams Athlete of the Week recognition.
Undefeated IUP visits 1-6 Clarion on Saturday afternoon at one o’clock.
