Indiana Borough police report a couple of hit-and-run incidents within the borough.
Police say a Postal Service truck struck a white sedan at the intersection of South Carpenter Avenue and Church Street yesterday at about 9:35 AM. The driver of the car left the scene without providing information. The vehicle had damage to its passenger side. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 349-2121.
The driver of a silver-colored car left the scene after backing into another car in the 200 block of South 5th Street last Thursday afternoon. The offending vehicle was driven by a woman and had damage to its rear passenger side.
Indiana Borough police are also investigating the theft of a purse from a vehicle that was parked at a laundromat on North 3rd Street yesterday afternoon between 4:15 and 4:30.
