Three people from the Southeastern Corner of the state were charged in connection with an incident at an Indiana bar during Homecoming last Friday.
Indiana Borough Police were called to Culpepper’s in the 600 block of Philadelphia Street at 12:40 in the morning for a disturbance at the bar and two men refusing to leave after staffers told them to leave. When police told the two men to leave, they still refused, and police had to escort them out. Once outside, police asked them both for identification. One of the two, Donte Brown of Philadelphia, willingly provided identification, while the other, William James, refused to provide police with identification and started to leave when police took him into custody. A third man, William Puccino of Glenmoore in Chester County, came upon the apprehension of the two men and became disorderly while officers were investigating. He was found to be intoxicated and was also placed under arrest.
Brown was subsequently released from the scene and was charged by summons with criminal trespass. James was taken to the Indiana Borough Police Station for processing, and was released later on, but he was charged by summons with criminal trespass, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. Puccino was also taken to the police station and issued two non-traffic citations for charges of disorderly conduct and public drunkenness before he was released to a sober adult.
The incident in the bar is still under investigation.
