Putting to rest a rumor, a mix-up in the Indiana High School office was the cause of some students not reciting the pledge of allegiance this morning
A posting on Facebook reported that students at Indiana High School “skipped the Pledge of Allegiance”, which is done prior to the morning announcements. Principal Wade McElheny informed us that the students that make the morning announcements were not able to make it to the office, and that the pledge announcement was not made over the district public address system as usual. Many teachers in the school had their students recite the pledge anyway.
McElheny confirmed to us that they are currently working on a policy to make sure that the pledge is not skipped in the morning.
