Indiana Borough Police have issued a number of reports, including several for disorderly conduct, theft, public drunkenness, and underage drinking.
A man from Indiana is facing charges of underage drinking and public drunkenness, along with disorderly conduct and harassment, and three counts of terroristic threats after an incident in the 200 block of South 7th Street shortly before 2 AM Sunday morning. 19-year-old Jacob Kelly was attempting to fight with some people and as he was being arrested, he became more disorderly and threatened police officers and witnesses.
Borough police report two instances of retail theft at the Sheetz convenience store at 768 Wayne Avenue within the same hour early Sunday morning. Around 1:10 AM, 19-year-old Kenneth Jesko of Belle Vernon was arrested for retail theft and underage drinking after he was caught stealing a drink. A Pittsburgh man is facing charges after he was found to have stolen merchandise from the Sheetz store shortly after 1:35 AM. 18-year-old Zion Wilkerson was arrested for retail theft and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Borough police report an altercation at a Philadelphia Street bar early Sunday. A criminal complaint has been filed with Judge Guy Haberl’s office, charging Diondre Faulk of Pittsburgh with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and defiant trespass. Around 12:50 AM, Faulk caused a disturbance at Culpepper’s bar when he refused verbal commands from staff to leave. He then resisted arrest after borough police arrived at the scene. 22-year-old Jamison Somerville of Pittsburgh apparently attempted to physically interfere with Faulk’s arrest, and was also arrested. Somerville is being charged with resisting arrest, obstruction of law, and disorderly conduct.
Around 10:30 PM Saturday, borough police responded to the 900 block of Wayne Avenue for a report of a drunk male passed out inside the location. Upon arrival, 19-year-old Jacob Fischer of Oswego, New York was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Fischer was issued citations for underage drinking and public drunkenness, and was later released to a responsible party.
Shortly after 10 AM Saturday morning, borough police were summoned to a residence in the 200 block of Washington Street for a possible domestic assault. Officers later stopped a truck being operated by Kadeem Meggett of Indiana, as the truck matched a description provided by the initial caller. Meggett reportedly yelled at officers as they attempted to investigate the domestic call. Meggett was eventually released, at which time he returned to the scene and yelled at the person who initially called police and his family. He then left once more, and police issued a citation against Meggett for disorderly conduct.
23-year-old Savannah Joan Kyler of Indiana was issued a summary, non-traffic citation for disorderly conduct after she was reported to have been screaming to the degree of disturbing a resident at 464 Water Street.
Borough police report the theft of a van parked in a spot on South 14th Street sometime between 4 o’clock Thursday afternoon and 10:45 Friday morning. It’s a black 2012 Chrylser Town & Country bearing Pennsylvania registration JHM 3665.
State police report a theft at a Saltsburg home. The victim, Donna McClure of Leechburg, discovered Friday that someone broke into the home and stole the copper pipes within.
