State Police have charged a suspect with unauthorized use of a vehicle. In a media release, Lakeysha Redman of Indiana was with the suspect in this case on September 22nd around 2 AM at a bar in Indiana. Redman had left her car in the custody of a third party for use overnight, but the suspect was able to get access to the car and drive it all the way to New York City. The suspect is only described as a black woman from Indiana. The investigation continues.
State Police are investigating a theft at the Indiana County Jail. The theft happened on Thursday between 2:00 and 3:15 in the afternoon. Beverly Stewart of Commodore reported that $100 in cash was taken from her wallet that was in a locker at the jail.
An unknown person or persons are wanted for vandalism of a car. State Police say on September 29th, a vehicle was scratched on the passenger side for the length of the car as it was parked in the Ollies and Dollar Tree section of the Regency Mall parking lot. No word yet on any suspects, but they are expected to face a charge of Criminal Mischief.
