Central Indiana County Water Authority customers in the Homer City area continue to experience problems due to two water lines that were broken on Monday during the Route 119 highway construction project.
The Authority’s Rob Nymick says customers are still dealing with discolored water and excessive air in the lines, but the repairs have been completed and workers are flushing the lines to clear up the problem. Nymick emphasizes that the water is safe, but you may have to run it a while for it to clear up, and he suggests running the cold water first. He says it could take a couple of days to get everything back to normal. If you have questions or continued problems, you should contact the Homer City Borough office.
