Members of the Indiana Area Collaborative Team met last night to discuss preparations for IUP’s Homecoming celebration this weekend.
Many of the committees reported that they were ready to go for Homecoming. Many activities are planned throughout the week, including alternate activities Saturday Night at the KCAC. Authorities will also be ready in case things get out of hand. One thing that will have the attention of authorities will be violations of building codes, like overcrowded parties and kids sitting on the roofs of houses. Indiana Borough Assistant Manager Dana Turgeon said they will keep an eye open for those incidents, as that was reported on the most last year.
It was also emphasized that if things do get out of control, the best thing to do is to call 911 and get help from the police instead of trying to handle it yourself.
Media conferences will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at noon at the KCAC.
