Police have issued a number of reports, including drug possession, theft, criminal mischief, and reckless endangerment with a firearm.
A Commodore woman has been charged with recklessly endangering another person after she fired a handgun, striking her boyfriend in the leg on Friday night. State police say 37-year-old Jennifer Rose Neese and her boyfriend, who is not publicly identified, were driving on Route 286 in Montgomery Township at about 10:45 PM when the two of them started arguing. She pulled over into the Purchase Line Elementary School parking lot and the two of them got out of the vehicle and continued arguing. Police say she then pulled a loaded .380 caliber pistol out of her pocket, pointed it at the victim, and fired a shot, apparently unintentionally. The bullet went through the driver’s side door and struck the victim in the leg, causing a superficial wound. The two of them got back into the vehicle and drove to their home, where Neese called 911. State troopers took her into custody and went to the school, where they recovered the bullet and the shell casing. The boyfriend was treated for his injury at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. Neese was arraigned before District Judge Guy Haberl and placed in the Indiana County Jail with bond set at $25,000, and a preliminary hearing set for October 12th.
