State Police in Greensburg are investigating a fire at the Unity Township Road Department.
Crews were called out last Sunday at 8:43 to a fire at 154 Beatty County Road in Unity Township to put out a fire at a property owned by the Township’s road department in Latrobe. The fire destroyed not only the building, but several trucks and other machines owned by the township. The loss was estimated at $4 to $5 million. Police believe that the fire is incendiary in nature and are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
