State police are reporting on more thefts from vehicles. Police say the recent round of thefts from September 26th to the 27th was in the Copper Beach area as the unknown burglar was able to get into the victim’s cars through unlocked doors and take various items. No further information is available.
Another case was reported in the Marion Center Area, as sometime between 10 PM on Thursday and 7:30 AM on Friday, someone took a Harry and Richardson .32 special from the car belonging to Samuel Trunzo of Marion Center.

It’s not known if the driver of a car in a hit-and-run crash in White Township is injured. State Police say on September 28th, a car was driving north on Jackson Street just south of Mansfield Avenue when he lost control of the car and went off the east berm onto someone’s residential property. The vehicle struck a wooden mailbox post in the process. The car went for a short distance through the yard, narrowly missing a tree, and went back onto Jackson Street and fleeing the scene. Police will charge the driver with accidents involving damage to unattended vehicles or property.
No one was injured in a crash in Clymer Borough Friday morning. State police say a car driven by 77-year-old Margaret Brocious of Dixonville was driving east on Franklin Street, and failed to notice that the car in front of her, driven by 28-year-old Sara Nealer of Clymer, had stopped to make a left turn onto 4th Street. Brocious rear-ended Nealer’s car. Both cars were moved off the roadway prior to the state police’s arrival, and Nealer had left the scene, but provided information to police and to Brocious. Brocious was cited for careless driving.
State Police have charged a McKeesport man with drug-related crimes. Police say on Friday, they encountered 28-year-old Desmond Michael Johnson of McKeesport and found he was in possession of illegal drugs. Charges were filed at District court.
