Theodore A. “Ted” Byers, age 66 of Indiana, died Friday, September 22, 2017 at his home.
He was born 1951 in Indiana to Bert A. Byers, Sr., and Thelma Z. Gardner Byers.
Ted was a member of the Dixonville Moose, Clymer American Legion, Shelocta Sportsman Club and the Tide Sportsman Club.
He was employed as an equipment operator for Sharp Paving for the past 20 years.
Ted enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, eating, and spending time with his grandgirls.
Surviving is his wife of 46 years, Joy Ruffner Byers, Indiana; one daughter and one son, Melissa Zombotti and husband Richard, Creekside; Jason Byers and wife Jodi, Shelocta; three grandgirls, Megan, Kaylee, Kenzie; two brothers and two sisters, George Overman, Indiana; Bert A. Byers, JR. and wife Candis, Indiana; Beverly Byers, Indiana; Joyce Crossland and husband Charles, Indiana; his sister-in-law Charlotte Overmen, Aultman; by numerous nieces and nephews; and his lap buddy Pixie.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Calvin Overman.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Monday at 11 AM with the Pastor Steve Moore officiating. Internment will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
