State police in Indiana are currently searching for 35-year-old Robert Evanick of Indiana. At 1 o’ clock Sunday morning, officers responded to a White Township home for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, the officers found that the victim, 35-year-old Ronda Shields, had sustained obvious physical injury. Evanick had fled prior to police arrival, and charges have been filed and a warrant requested.
State police report two instances of public drunkenness. Early Sunday morning, 52-year-old Sharon Deeb of Bethel Park was found to be publicly drunk at 132 Pine Ridge Road, Burrell Township.
Officers responded to the Homer City Sheetz in Center Township around 8:15 PM on Friday for a disturbance. Police charged 69-year-old Sandra L Myers of Latrobe with public drunkenness.
Police report also a theft at 2831 Warren Road, White Township, sometime Sunday, September 17th into Monday morning, between the hours of 6 PM and 6:30 AM. The victim was a 51-year-old woman whose wooden bench was taken from her porch. It was later recovered and returned to the victim.
Indiana Borough police report several incidents, including one involving an Indiana man who allegedly tried to deceive police officers by providing false identification. Police were summoned at 4 o’clock Saturday afternoon to the 800 block of Wayne Avenue for a noise complaint. They encountered 33-year-old Richard Nieves Rivera, who gave false information about who he was. However, he is well known to police and he had an active bench warrant out for him in regard to a DUI case for which his bail had been revoked September 14th. Rivera was taken into custody on the bench warrant and he was later charged with false identification to law enforcement officials.
Borough police also filed a noise code violation charge against 22-year-old Kyle Quinn of Drexel Hill, PA, Saturday afternoon. Quinn was hosting a very loud party which police broke up at his off-campus apartment at 847 Wayne Avenue.
27-year-old Tyler Chresos of Indiana will be cited for retail theft for an incident early yesterday at the 4th Street Sheetz. Surveillance footage showed Chresos leaving the store without paying for an item. He had left the scene prior to the arrival of the police.
Shortly before 10 PM Saturday, state police report a two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Warren Road and McKnight Road in White Township. Police determined that 20-year-old Brittany Comunale of Vintondale failed to come to a stop and rear-ended a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Alexandria Kappel of Indiana when she braked for another motorist. Kappel was not injured, Comunale suffered suspected minor injuries and her vehicle was towed from the scene.
Around 3:30 PM Saturday, an ATV accident occurred as it rolled over in a field along Route 240 in Green Township. Commodore firefighters helped Citizens’ Ambulance personnel on the scene.
