State Police report a drug incident from earlier this week netted two arrests.
On September 19th, State Police got a call from an employee of the Quality Inn on Wayne Avenue for a possible overdose. Police arrived on the scene around 8:44 PM. During their search for the overdose patient, they came across two people in possession of illegal narcotics. The two found were 39-year-old Shawn Steven Blystone and 27-year-old Taylor Jordan Shick, both of Indiana. Blystone was found to be in possession of 77 wax bags of heroin, a crack pipe and some cash. Shick was in possession of 20 prescribed Alprazolam Pills. Both were taken into custody.
Shick was taken to and later released from the State Police Barracks, pending charges of misdemeanor simple possession. He was arraigned through on-call District Judge George Thachick. Blystone was also arraigned by Judge Thachick on felony charges of possession with intent to distribute, criminal use of a communication facility, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Blystone was remanded to Indiana County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bail.
This is not the first time Blystone has faced a judge. He has a lengthy criminal history in Indiana county, ranging from charges of theft to drug possession.
