The annual Clymer Days Festival kicked off last night, and continues today and tomorrow.
The annual three-day celebration got underway at Sherman Street Park with a Car Show and a music performance from “Cash Through The Years”. Today, Clymer Days resumes with opening ceremonies at noon, with the Penns Manor Marching Band providing some musical entertainment during the ceremonies and Macie Lorelli singing the national anthem. They will be joined by the American Legion Post 222 and Marion Center ROTC in posting the colors. The 4th annual ABATE Motorcycle show will take place from 1-3, with registration starting at 12:30. During the motorcycle show, the band Cruzin’ will perform. From 4:30 to 6, it’s open mic time, with amateur performers showing their best. At 6:00, country rockers 7 Mile Run will take the stage, with fireworks slated for 9:00 PM.
There will be a vendor tent as well set up in honor of Patricia Ailes. More events are planned for Sunday. For a complete list of events, log on to the Clymer Days website, www.clymerdaysfestival.com
