More traffic pattern changes are expected next week in connection with a bridge replacement project in Indiana County.
The project in question is the Route 217 Stewart Run bridge project in Black Lick Township. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane, alternating directions on 217 as crews work around the clock on replacing the bridge with a box culvert and a new alignment at the intersection of 217 and Grange Road. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers and will be restricted to one lane going both directions. The restriction is expected to be in place starting Monday morning at 7:00 AM and will remain in effect until the end of next week. When the road reopens, traffic will be two-way on the new roadway configuration.
This is part of a $3 million project being done by Plum Contracting and is expected to wrap up by the end of May of 2018.
