The Blairsville-Saltsburg School Board is holding off on hiring a new guidance counselor for now.
At last night’s meeting, the board decided to table hiring the guidance counselor to replace one that had retired on the Blairsville side of the district. The board cited that they want to see if a third guidance counselor is actually necessary, and if they feel another is needed, they will post the position for hiring.
In other business, the board accepted a grant to bring therapy animals into the classroom. Jeffrey Soles said the grant was to get fire-bellied toads for the
