Judge Thomas Bianco has scheduled hearings for October 3rd to hear arguments on omnibus pretrial motions for relief filed on behalf of Justin Stevenson and Nathan Price, two men who are charged with the beating deaths of a Cherryhill Township couple last October. District Attorney Pat Dougherty will seek the death penalty against the defendants, who are accused of killing Timothy Gardner and Jacqueline Brink after making a marijuana deal with Gardner at his apartment.
Judge William Martin has scheduled an evidentiary hearing for October 3rd for Brady DiStefano, a former IUP student from Johnstown who is charged with the strangulation death of his fraternity brother, Caleb Zweig of Rockville, Maryland, last February. The two fought each other in the 800 block of Wayne Avenue in Indiana on the night of February 3rd and Zweig died early the next morning at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. DiStefano’s attorney filed an omnibus pretrial motion for relief on September 1st. The judge ordered that briefs be filed ten days prior to the hearing.
Judge Martin has continued Criminal Call to the November 3rd session for Matthew McNevin, the Rayne Township man accused of shooting to death Carlos Recalde-Campos and wounding Samantha Riley during the IUPattys event on March 25th.
