A motions hearing is scheduled today for 22-year-old Mason Jackson a 22-year-old Beaver County man accused in a robbery case. It’s the eighth time the hearing has been on the court schedule since the omnibus motions were filed, the previous seven having been postponed.
Jackson is from New Brighton. He’s charged in the robbery and beating of two men at an apartment on South 8th Street in Indiana in October of 2015.
Vincent Ligenfelter and Michael Wilber claim that Jackson, 20-year-old Spencer Bacon and an unidentified third suspect pistol-whipped them and punched them repeatedly. When police showed the victims social media photos of Bacon with a group of other people, they also identified Jackson. Among other assertions, the omnibus motions seek to suppress that identification. Bacon, meanwhile, is serving one to three years in state prison.
Today’s hearing is scheduled for 8:30 AM before Judge Thomas Bianco.
