Behind the dominant pitching of Brandon Waddell, the Altoona Curve nipped the Trenton Thunder, 2-1, last night in Trenton, taking a 1-0 lead in the best of five championship series.

Game 2 is tonight in Trenton with Game 3 Thursday night in Altoona.
