Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf is asking everyone in the state to take part in an online survey to concerning highway safety and driving behaviors.
Topics covered in the survey range from seat belt use to distracted driving, motorcycles to impaired driving and even speeding on roads. The survey itself has an impact on how state transportation money is spent. Last year’s survey results prompted PennDOT to increase its statewide investment of federal aggressive driving enforcement funds from $1.7 million this year to $2.2 million in 2018. They have also increased their presence on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter to share public safety information.
Last year, 6,619 people responded to the survey. The survey is available until September 27th. To take part, you can log on to the survey’s website, surveymonkey.com/r/DOTHighwaySafety.
