Ruth Alzora (Fisher) Duncan, 86, of Black Lick, PA passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 in the Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana, PA.
The daughter of Lawrence B. and Alice N. (Henry) Fisher, she was born August 9, 1931 in Indiana, PA.
She was a homemaker and spent her whole life taking care of her family.
Surviving are five daughters, Ruth Ann Stiles (Wayne) of Black Lick; Shirley Johnson (Bruce) of Indiana; Sandra J. Elliott (Rick) of Indiana; Debra Henrickson (James) of Tide and Vicki Blattenberger (Rick) of Brenizer; four grandchildren, Tina Eckert, Brenda Bubonic, Jamie Henrickson and Kristin Johnson; two great grandchildren, Travis Eckert and Addison Bubonic; a sister, Ruby Hazlett of Homer City and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leroy A. Duncan on September 3, 2009; a daughter, Cynthia L. Duncan on February 15, 1997; a grandson, Jeffrey Blattenberger; three brothers, Blair, Wilbur and Daryl and four sisters, Arlene Womack, Louise Taylor, Marion Long and Pearl Patterson.
A private visitation and funeral service with Pastor Thomas Spiker officiating will be held at the Shoemaker funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.
Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.

Pennsylvania is one of fifteen states that does not require any form of identification in order to vote. Meanwhile, eight states require photo ID in order to vote with no exceptions. What should Pennsylvania do?
