Starting today and going through the weekend, there will be some road closures in effect for Indiana Borough.
Dave Fairman of Indiana Borough’s Public Works Department has announced that ongoing water line work will continue today, with crews from the Pennsylvanian-American Water Company to close areas of South 10th Street, Gompers Avenue, Carpenter Avenue and the 600 block of Church Street. Those roads are expected to re-open to traffic soon.
Also, there will be some road closures in effect for the Northern Appalachian Folk Festival. Philadelphia Street from 5th to 7th Streets will close starting at 6 AM tomorrow morning, as vendors and booths will start to move in at that time. That portion of Philadelphia Street will remain closed until 8:00 PM Sunday, after the festival officially ends.
