At a special hearing last night, the Center Township Supervisors approved the transfer of a liquor license from White Township to Center Township.
The license is connected to The Grapevine Restaurant, which got its start in the Center Township area. Now, The Grapevine is looking to call Coral home as they look to move into to the former Whitey’s Peetza location. Current owner of The Grapevine Nicole Latore said the license started with “The Out of the Way Inn” with Joe Medvetz. In the early 80’s, the license moved out to White Township with the restaurant and it was re-named The Grapevine.
No opposition to the move was offered by members of the public and the supervisors unanimously approved the transfer. Their application for a transfer now heads to the state level, and Latore anticipates it will be at least 4 weeks before the license transfer is complete.
