The Steelers roster is down to 53 after several moves over the weekend.
IUP’S Ethan Cooper was released and did not make the practice squad. The team acquired safety J.J.Wilcox from Tampa Bay and traded Sammie Coates to the Browns and cornerback Ross Cockrell to the Giants.
The Steelers open the regular season at Cleveland Sunday afternoon.
