PERKINS, JOHN W., 51 OF HOMER CITY, PA passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.
He was born June 22, 1966 in Denison, TX. John worked for as a sales representative for PNCA, Lower Burrell, PA. He loved watching all sports, especially the Pittsburgh Penguins & Steelers.
John is survived by his wife of 15 years, Sharon (Long) Perkins of Homer City, PA; mother, Jane Perkins-Oliver & husband, Jack of Kernersville, NC, formerly of Homer City, PA; sister, Norma Jo Perkins-Heiple & husband, Brian of Kernersville, NC; sister, Amy Oliver-Holley & husband, Clint of Eagle Butte, SD; niece, Paige Heiple; nephew, Adam Heiple; nephew, Cameron Holley; mother & father-in-law, William & Dorothy Long of Blairsville, PA; sister-in-law, Lori Beatty & husband, Rev. William Beatty of Warren, PA and nieces, Rachel & Eliana Beatty.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Perkins.
The family will receive friends at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., Blairsville, PA on Friday, September 01, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, September 02, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Rev. William Beatty will officiate.
Interment will be held in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, Pennsylvania.
