Indiana firefighters were out early this morning for an apartment fire at a student rental apartment group near Downtown.
Indiana County 911 reported the first call for firefighters going out at 3:45 this morning for a structure fire at 744 Locust Street. The fire was in a downstairs apartment, as Ron Moreau of the Indiana Fire Association said the fire started in the stove in the kitchen area, but was restricted to just the one apartment. No one was hurt, but two students are now without a place to live.
Michelle Fryling of IUP said that the university is housing the students temporarily at Wallwork hall.
